How to Hear God’s Voice Through the Bible

Communication is essential to all relationships. If we feel like we aren’t being heard or we can’t understand what is being said to us, it will negatively affect our relationships. The same is true in our relationship with God. He would never expect to be close to us without providing a means of communication.

He has given us the tools we need to hear His voice. When we open our Bibles and invite the presence of the Holy Spirit we begin to hear the words of Scripture speak directly to us. We can even use words from the Bible to talk with God. How many times have we connected deeply with the cry or praise of David in Psalms?
